FIDO Introduction

FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) aimed at establishing an open standard protocol to change current online authentication method (Refers the password based authentication), reduce dependence on password. These year, some recent reports shows passwords can be sold and exchanged, which makes them a massive liability for large organizations. It turns out, password is not secure at all.

Meanwhile, mFIDO doesn’t require any client software, middleware or traditional CA (certificate authority) mechanism.
