You can now integrate Longmai’s Smart card Micro SD and Bluetooth powered wireless tokens in any platform device to transparently and seamlessly secure volumes of sensitive information traversing IoT environment against being be intercepted. The standard based PKI ensures strong encryption for messages and data in storage or in transit against being captured or manipulated.
Whereas historically computers were the only “things” that were connected; today, all around the globe, all kinds of objects can be connected to the Internet, including electronics, healthcare equipment, building systems, nuclear plants, smart grid, consumer goods, vehicles, factory machines, , and more.
The Internet of Things has become one of the hottest trends; and, for IT security, the security of Internet of Things-based devices and networks is a very big challenge. We can sort potential attacks against the Internet of Things into three primary categories based on the target of the attack:
- attacks against a device,
- attacks against the communication between devices and masters,
- attacks against the masters.
At Century Longmai, we regard the access network and cloud-based applications and services as the most vulnerable to interception or attacks in an IoT environment. Though, to effectively protect end-users and their connected devices; Manufacturers, Service Providers, IoT enablers and Solution Providers need to address attacks from all security targets.
The best of all world tokens – strong identity authentication for anything anywhere with lower power consumption.
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) developed a low energy form of the Bluetooth protocol for short-range data transmission for IoT (for example it’s already enabling Machine to Machine – M2M communication). Specifically, Bluetooth Low energy protocol is playing a big role in IoT ecosystem; based on this Wireless technology protocol and Public Key Infrastructure, Century Longmai has already manufactured a portfolio of highly secure and more power efficient products to enable future proof security.
The Longmai mToken ecosystem for mobile-based identity and data management consist of cryptographic modules meeting industry compliance requirements to ensure secure network authentication, communication encryption and protect sensitive information on the network and wireless terminals (including mobile smart phones, PCs, and embedded platforms) — offers support for both USB and wireless communication Bluetooth LE type, making ideal for use on Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and all mobile terminal supporting Bluetooth standard.
The mToken modules support for PKI certificates used in securing Internet transactions for applications including signing/encrypting email, PDF documents, MS office files, and software applications, as well as VPN and web-based SSL. Client certificates provide stronger security for two or multi-factor authentication solutions, but the private key of the PKI certificate must be kept secret to be effective. Private keys generated and stored on mToken hardware module are more secure than when stored as files on local hard drive.
The new wave of IoT necessitates for future proof security.
